Conference is organized by the Ministry of Education and sciences of the Russian Federation together with the European Commission, at support of the country Germanii-presiding in Advice of the European Union, and at participation of the State University Higher School of Economics. 3rd General Assembly of the European Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Platform - Brussels, 4-6 October 2006. By way of background, the European Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Platform has recently published an "Interim Implementation Plan" for the next 7-10 years (the 2015 horizon) to progress the European vision established in 2003 for developing and implementing hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. The Implementation Plan advances the strategic research agenda and deployment strategy developed in 2005. It provides the orientation for future EU R&D activities including elements for a Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) on hydrogen and fuel cells. This 3rd General Assembly will therefore be a unique occasion to review and validate this "Implementation Plan" and to consider the potential for enhanced coordination at regional, national and European level. It is also intended to explore the scope for enhanced international co-operation. The event is expected to attract about 450 participants from major European and international stakeholders.
