The National Contact Point for Energy.

A national contact point (NCP) network has been established for coordination of participation of the Russian organizations in the FP 7. This network serves as a basic infrastructure to support cooperation of the Russian Federation with the EU.

The NCP carries out the following basic tasks:

• providing information and consulting support;
• providing methodical joint research activity framing assistance for projects with the participation of Russian scientific teams in the international consortia of the FP 6 in the main thematic areas.

ANO "RUSDEM-Energoeffect" was appointed national contact point (NCP) for the priority area Sustainable Development (Sustainable energy systems) by the decree of the Ministry for Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

Coordinating interaction between the European Union and the academia of Russia, "RUSDEM-Energoeffect" offers a set of organization and FP 6 participation organization services to Russian organizations and institutions:

• preparation of project proposals for their submissions to the European Commisions. The correct proposal processing is a necessary precondition for inclusion of the Russian organizations into both existing and future consortia of international projects;
• providing necessary basic and specialized information on the EU R&D programmes, including conditions and rules of participation, application procedure for calls for European projects;
• providing also information on seminars, round tables, information days, exhibitions and other events with participation of the leading European scientists and consortia coordinators, aimed at presenting Russian scientific potential in the thematic areas of FP 6;
• organization and holding thematic seminars;
• providing continuous support to the applicants from the application submission till the end of the project.
